Las Vegas, NV — The National PRO-AM Basketball Championship is preparing to roll out the red carpet for the return of its Women's Division in 2027, complete with a $100,000 grand prize for the winning team.
After several seasons centered on the men's bracket, tournament leadership says the time is right to bring elite women's competition back to the Las Vegas hardwood — and to back that commitment with the same life-changing purse that has made the event the second-highest-paying amateur tournament in the nation.
"Oh yes, we are definitely looking to welcome the Women's Division back in 2027," said Tom Drakeford, President of the National PRO-AM Basketball Championship. "The women's game deserves this stage, and it deserves this prize. I've told our staff we need to make a strong, deliberate effort to bring the women's championship back to Las Vegas — and to do it right."
Planning is already underway. Organizers say the 2027 Women's Division will feature the same pool-play-to-championship format fans expect, with live scoring, video coverage, and national exposure for the athletes and coaches who take the floor.
The championship is inviting teams, sponsors, and supporters to be part of the relaunch, with registration windows, host venues, and qualifying details to be announced in the coming months.
For now, the message from Las Vegas is simple: the women are coming back, and $100,000 will be on the line.
